A year after telecast of Satyamev Jayate
Dear friends,
It has been a complete year today when episode 5 of SATYAMEV JAYATE was telecasted that featured Team Love Commandos including myself, our chief co-ordinator Mr. Harsh Malhotra, Commando co-ordinator Mr. Sonu Rangi and Delhi-NCR Chief Co-ordinator Mr. Rajesh. We would like to share our experience with you in brief.
Definitely our exposure increased many times since then and also our responsibilities. Our debts and threats also increased many fold simultaneously. There have been no much donations but expenses go on increasing every day. Huge number of Love Couples have been calling us and we had to accommodate large numbers in our shelters. We are thankful to the media fraternity from India and abroad that has constantly been helping us and also some donations from believers of Love, but is not sufficient to meet the expences.
We had many and much hopes of help from Mr. Amir Khan as he himself had promised during the final recording in March last year but he chose not to help us by way of contribution by way of sms and other donations rather he gave the contribution to an organization that does not work for the Lovers. He can be better judge. Yes we are thankful to him for giving us a nice stay at Hotel Vits in Mumbai and too much food to eat. He gave us Air tickets and travel vehicles. He also gave Rs. One Thousand and One each to all the 4 members of the Team Love Commandos that went for recording of the show.
We have lost Abdul Hakim in Bulundshehar. Aamir’s team had done filming about the couple in their village and hence people came to know about their being shown in the show. However the couple was only shown in the Album of songs in “Ghar Yaad aata hai Mujhe” seen moving in the streets somewhere near a shelter of Love Commandos. The attackers got emboldened and finally killed Abdul Hakim. We believe if his story was telecast the scenario could have been different and Hakim may have been alive today.
After his killing Mr. Aamir Khan had publically announced that he shall fight for the cause, however Mehwish is still fighting her battle and Mr. Aamir Khan never reached. He may have telephonically spoken to some officials but where is the result. We are however thankful to him for sending 101 clothes for her newborn baby Zoya and some more gifts.
We recently lost Raj Kumari as the couple did not have enough money for treatment and we have always been under debts and thus could not help them substantially. Some more couples are still struggling for want of financial resources and we feel sorry when we can’t help them in such dire needs.
Our journey started with Ms. Ritu Bhardwaj approaching us said to be for a TV Programme on Doordarshan. She met many couples in North, South and Western India that were or being helped by Love Commandos. We gave her contacts of many more people who appeared in the show too. It was only when Ms. Swati and others from Mumbai reached our base shelter for some recording that we came to know that it would be Mr. Aamir Khan’s show. We came to know about Satyamev Jayate only during the final recording at Mumbai in March last year.
During the recording much happened. Our Chief Co-ordinator Mr. Harsh Malhotra mentioned the marriage of Lord Ram with Sita …………. But was edited. In our opinion had that part been there things in whole of the country would have changed. Despite promise our helpline number was not shown on the show. We had spoken and discussed much more but editing took that away. Recording of Abdul Hakim and Mehwish was an important part of the recording but again the entire part was edited. Even during the final recording he has shared his own inter religious love story with all and again the editing took that away.
All the live young couples in the show were from Love Commandos be it Lokendra and Fehmida, Rajveer and Madhuri and even Ravinder and Shilpa who accompanied Team Love Comandos from Delhi. Yes we salute Martyrs Manoj and Babli, Rizwanur at the same time.
To us it appears that Mr. Khan chose to get swayed by the pressure of illegal Khap Panchayats and in “Asar” as he only chose to show the opposition and demonstrations by such Khaps etc. against him or the show. He can give the best answer for ignoring the most positive impact on Lovers that why he chose not to include Love Commandos in “Asar”.
We admit and agree that after the telecast our exposure has increased and resultantly huge numbers of Lovers in distress have approached us which has caused further weakening our financial condition and increase in debts. But we continue to fight for the cause undeterred, with the hope for a new India full of Love and Lovers. We must thank Mr. Vinayy of www.Gandhig.in who has contributed the site for the cause and is maintaining it voluntarily making thousand of lovers and media persons reach us and express themselves.
